Semester I
Marketing

(5421) - This course introduces marketing concepts and examines economic, marketing, and business fundamentals, in addition to the marketing functions of selling, promotion, and distribution. The standards listed are core standards and those standards reflecting the needs of the local business community. This is the basic course in the marketing curriculum and should be taken before the specialized courses.
*Required course to be considered a Marketing Communications or Marketing Management  completer

Digital Media Marketing
(5422) - Students will plan and execute a marketing storyboard for producing their final product, to include podcasts, DVDs, video blogs, and webcasts. Students will learn to demonstrate basic digital video camera technique, digital sound, and lighting. In addition, students will perform basic editing functions while familiarizing themselves with the software’s user interface. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

Semester II
Marketing Management 

(5431) - This course continues the analysis of the marketing functions by examining human resource foundations, marketing and business fundamentals, distribution, promotion, and selling as applied in merchandising.
Prerequisite:  Marketing or teacher recommendation
*Required course to be considered a Marketing Management completer
